For my birthday this year, my amazing husband got me one of the coolest gifts: a 48 bottle sampler of root beer from The Root Beer Store. This was the perfect gift for me because I love root beer and I love trying new things! My plan was to photograph and rate each one but that got to be too much and I just wanted to enjoy them.
I’m still working my way through them. There’s been a pretty good variety. A couple have had high fructose corn syrup which was surprising (I mean, who uses high fructose corn syrup in decent root beer these days?) but most are cane sugar and have tasted declicious. My favorite so far is Langer’s which seemed to have a stronger vanilla tone to it, although I’m still a huge fan of Virgil’s.
